We want this site to be usable by everyone, on any device, with any input method. Here is the target we build to and how to tell us when we fall short.
Our target
We aim for this website to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target we design and test against, not a certified claim. Where we discover a gap, we treat it as a bug to fix.
What we build for
- Keyboard-operable navigation and controls, with a visible focus indicator.
- Semantic landmarks, a logical heading order, and a skip-to-content link.
- An accessible mobile menu that manages state and focus, and works without JavaScript.
- Sufficient colour contrast, and no information conveyed by colour alone.
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use on small screens.
- Text and layout that reflow to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences, and no autoplaying media.
- Meaningful alternative text, with decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
Known limits
This is a pre-launch site and we are still testing across the full range of assistive technologies. If something does not work for you, that is useful information. Please tell us instead of working around it.
