Init6 was founded in 2017. KnownScope applies its product approach to one recurring problem: keeping the list, the decisions, and the handoffs of a security response coherent while the facts are still changing.
Why KnownScope
The work exists between systems.
Scanners and inventories supply candidate items. Chat carries live discussion. Jira or ServiceNow owns the fix once you know what it is. Evidence stays in the repository approved for it.
KnownScope holds the list, the decisions, and the Work log between those systems. Imports and exports are deliberate handoffs; the surrounding tools keep their existing jobs.

Name the job
A product starts with a specific operator, a recurring piece of work, and an outcome that can be checked. KnownScope starts with the response team maintaining scope while facts change.

Fit the existing system
Security teams already have scanners, chat, evidence repositories, and remediation queues. A focused product should define its handoffs instead of claiming all of those jobs.

Preserve the record
A changed decision should keep its author, source, and earlier reasoning. KnownScope treats response history as part of the work, not as clutter to overwrite.

Rob Fuller, also known as mubix.
Rob has worked in information security for more than 25 years. His public record includes security research, more than 25 open-source tools, and teaching at Black Hat USA since 2013.
He is also the person you will be talking to. During the private preview he builds the first Campaign with each team himself, which is the reason the number of places is limited.
